40 YEARS IS LONG ENOUGH!
On May 19th, 1977 Lucy was brought to the Edmonton Valley Zoo (formerly known as the Storyland Valley Zoo). We wanted to address her 40 years in captivity by asking individuals, groups and organizations around the globe to speak up for Lucy. We are thrilled and honoured by the contributions we received. Some are powerful, others are creative, but most of all, each one speaks to the EVZ and the City of Edmonton and all their supporters to please, let Lucy retire! Thank you to those who helped us on this project by writing to organizations on LEAP's behalf and most of all, to all the groups that sent in videos. Please take the time to thank these groups on their pages. And please share the video!!
